Methodology
How BloxHub's numbers are actually collected.
Every stat on BloxHub — concurrent players, visits, favorites, Roblox's own approval rating, trending rank — is sourced directly from Roblox's public APIs, not estimated or scraped from third parties.
The catalog
BloxHub tracks roughly 900 games, built from Roblox's own discovery/explore feed (top-trending, per-genre trending, top-earning, top-rated, and up-and-coming sorts, walked across desktop, phone, and console) — the same feed Roblox surfaces on its own site. This is BloxHub's practical ceiling today: the union of that feed across every sort and device is roughly 1,000-1,100 unique games, not an arbitrarily chosen cutoff.
Live stats
Player counts, visits, favorites, and Roblox's approval rating are re-fetched from Roblox's APIs and cached for roughly 10 minutes. Every game page and API response includes the exact time that page or response was generated, so you always know how fresh a given number is.
Historical snapshots
A daily snapshot of every tracked game's stats is stored for trend analysis, run once per day. This is a current infrastructure limit (Vercel's free tier caps scheduled jobs at once daily) rather than a design choice — we'd like to snapshot more often and will as the project grows.
Two different rating systems
- Roblox's approval rating— Roblox's own platform-wide like/dislike ratio for the experience, shown as a percentage. BloxHub doesn't influence this number.
- BloxHub's community reviews— a separate 1-5 star rating from people who've actually written a review on BloxHub. Shown independently on every game page, never blended with Roblox's own rating.
